Markus Naslund scored his first goal of the preseason to lead the Vancouver Canucks past the Phoenix Coyotes 2-0 Saturday night.
Brendan Morrison also scored for the Canucks, who finished the preseason 5-5. Phoenix, which opens the season at home Friday against St. Louis, finished 2-4-0-1.
The Coyotes were winless in three exhibition games at home, during which they were outscored 11-2.
Naslund scored just 1:48 into the game, swiping a loose rebound at the top of the crease past Phoenix goalie Sean Burke. Morrison made it 2-0 at 14:36 of the second, taking an outlet pass from Todd Bertuzzi just inside the blue line and scoring on the breakaway. Ticketmaster

Phoenix left wing Brian Savage dressed but did not play due to a slight groin pull.
