Sabres forward Jochen Hecht broke his left arm in Buffalo's 4-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday and will be sidelined for up to two months.
``It's a big hurt,'' Coach Lindy Ruff said. ``That's a big loss for us.''
Hecht was being counted on by the Sabres to be one of their top six forwards. He was playing on the second line with center Daniel Briere and right wing J.P. Dumont against the Blue Jackets.
