Ed Belfour stopped 40 shots and Dominik Hasek blocked 23 as the Detroit Red Wings and Toronto Maple Leafs skated to a 1-1 tie Saturday night in a preseason game.
Pavel Datsyuk scored for Detroit (2-5-1-0) and Mikael Renberg got the goal for Toronto (2-4-1-0).

Toronto led 1-0 after the first period on Renberg's short-handed goal with 2:46 remaining. He put a wrist shot in off of Hasek from the inside edge of the right circle.
Datsyuk tied it for Detroit 4:26 into the second period when he scored on a breakaway after taking a pass from Brett Hull. Datsyuk put a forehand shot past Belfour as he was falling over the Toronto goaltender's pads.
